Past Exhibitions

TWELVE  |  A showcase of contemporary women artists from the Sunshine Coast November 24 – December 22, 2018

We are delighted to share our most recent, and largest group exhibition to date, featuring 12 local, women contemporary artists. Each artist brings a unique perspective to abstractions of local and regional landscapes, and detailed figurative works. The show has been displayed to encourage engagement with each of the artists works, and to balance the spectrum of individual palettes, mediums, and subjects.

“Parallel Lines”- November 3-21, 2018

From 3-22 November 2018, we had the great pleasure of exhibiting a retrospective survey of one of our most beloved local artists and dear friend, Blair McNamara. This exhibition showcased works selected from archived studio folios, spanning the past forty years of his professional career.

Blair first met Joe of Cool Art over 20 years ago, when the business first opened on Beach Road, Coolum in 1998. They have exhibited together over the years- you can read more about their first meeting here.  It has been some time since Blair has exhibited locally, and we were elated to be able to share his retrospective exhibition. Please contact the gallery for the availability of works from this exhibition. A full list of displayed works is available for viewing on an online catalogue herePlease contact the gallery for the availability of art works.

unFramed 2018- August, 2018

In August we had the pleasure of hosting unFramed project 2018. This collective of 22 local/region-based emerging and established artists delivered an exciting and diverse exhibition of visual, new media, and sculptural works. For more information regarding this exhibition, have a look at our recent post with words from the artistic director, or the unFramed project facebook page.

New Beginnings – December, 2017

An inaugural exhibition at the new gallery space at 43 Access Crescent was held during December 2017, titled “New Beginnings.” This exhibition featured friends of the gallery and regular exhibitors, Pam Walpole, Des Rolph, Helena Jackson Lloyd, and Jan Williamson.
