Cool Art Picture Framing Gallery was established by Joe “Cool” in 1998. Joe had been in the framing business since 1991 and completed a full framing apprenticeship leading up to this.
Originally from Tenterfield, NSW, at the age of 16 Joe moved to Toowoomba to complete a 4 year apprenticeship in framing. Following his apprenticeship Joe moved to Brisbane to manage a mass-production framing company for 2 years and then moved to Coolum Beach in 1998 to set up his own Picture Framing Gallery at the age of 22.
Since setting up shop in the centre of Coolum, Cool Art has been the place to get your framing done. Specialising in custom picture framing, original artwork, conservation framing, exhibition and corporate framing, awards and valuable documents, photographs, needlework, mirrors, jerseys, medals and memorabilia. Also providing art mounting, custom made stretcher frames, mirrors and glass replacements. Restoration of artwork and frames also available. (Receipts provided for insurance claims)
The business has grown significantly over the years and the shop has turned into a cultural hub for locals and visitors to enjoy a coffee amongst art and an array of novelty gifts have been added to the shop for your perusal and enjoyment.
