About Us

Cool Art Picture Framing + Gallery was established by Joe “Cool” McFeeters in 1998.

Born and raised in Tenterfield, NSW, Joe completed a framing apprenticeship in 1991. He worked in framing in Toowoomba and Brisbane for a number of years before making the sea change and establishing Cool Art. A keen fisherman and surfer, Joe has managed to find a great balance of business and leisure on the Sunshine Coast. If he’s not making rectangles, curating art exhibitions, you might find him out on the ocean in his kayak, or spending time with his young family exploring our local paradise.

Originally situated in the heart of Coolum on Beach Road, Cool Art has since relocated to a new, purpose-built industrial space, only 5 minutes from Coolum Beach, to 5/43 Access Crescent. You can find us easily on the map – click here.

The business has grown significantly over the past 25 years. While we have moved from our beloved beach view, Cool Art remains an arts and community hub for locals and visitors alike.
