Rod was born in Canada, and now resides locally in Maroochy River, Qld Australia. Rod is a professional illustrator and graphic designer, with a passion for oil painting. Rod has been inspired by the uniqueness of the Australian environment and chose to settle in Australia in 1980.
Rod paints a large variety of subjects and because of the versatility specializes in private commissioned works of art particularly oil painting. He combines both an impressionistic feel and balance of design to each of his works.
His paintings hang in galleries and wall through out Australia, and a number of other countries.Rod has demonstrated a niche in the art field by offering a unique service to his clients.
Rod is an inaugural member of the National Portrait Gallery’s Circle of Friends and his paintings have been sold Internationally in Canada, USA, Europe, South America and Australia.
